The Role of Geotextiles in Asphalt Base Stabilization

  3. Load Distribution
    By spreading vehicle loads over a broader area, geotextiles reduce stress points and help maintain surface integrity under repeated use.

  4. Drainage & Filtration
    Especially in Nashville’s mixed clay and loam soils, proper drainage is key. Non-woven geotextiles allow water to pass through while filtering out soil particles—keeping the base dry and firm.
